Falkirk Wheel

Falkirk Wheel is a working tourist attraction. It has a function and is entertaining at the same time. Attracting visitors from all over who pay to see and take a ride on the rotating battle axe shaped gondolas. Though it is free for people who provide their own boat, this innovation has restored the use of canals to Scotland for pleasure craft. If the majority of the world still used canal systems for business and transport, then this would be more of an innovation than a tourist attraction. The concepts and designs that are behind it are fantastic and it’s good to know that such things can be engineered and put to use. Some locals believe the wheel is a waste of money. However, since Scotland is trying to reinvent itself and attract more people, this type of attraction is just the thing it needs.

I just wanted to let all of you know how much we enjoyed joining your class at Falkirk. You had interesting insights and comments and we both loved being back in college.
I hope you are all having a great week off exploring, and enjoy the rest of your class. You have an excellent professor!
