Haste Ye Back

University is supposed to prepare us for the future. We are told that at the completion of our four years, we will have the knowledge and skill set to go into the world, attain a job, and keep on advancing in our careers. What we aren't told is that sometimes, your country finds itself in an economic crisis and the major you pick is constantly evolving, and you have to fledge your own path. Rarely are we given an oppertunity to get outside of ourselves and observe the way others are solving the same problems we have. For this, I am grateful to my summer abroad. I have been given an insight into what is coming down the pipe for Professional Writing. Industrialism in the 18th and 19th century moved us from an agrarian society to that of a working class and educated society. Since then, we have been making advancements in technology that will move us from the Post-Industrial era into the clean, accessible, and renewable future.
